【摘要】:Theobjectiveofthispracticeistoprovideguidelinesforthepreparationofsamplesforinterlaboratorystudiestoevaluatenewtestmethodsorforqualitycontrolpurposes.ThesesamplespreparedusingtheseguidelinesmaybeusedforthetestingoftheprecisionandbiasmandatoryforASTMtestmethods.Suchanevaluationisnecessarytoprovideguidancetotheuserastothereliabilityofmeasurementsthatcanbeexpectedbyitsuse.Thestatementsaredevelopedonthebasisofuserexperience(ordinarilythroughinterlaboratorystudies)withthetestmethod.Theavailabilityofappropriatesamplesisakeyrequirementforinterlaboratorystudies.Thehomogeneityofthesampleproducedforinterlaboratorystudiesmustbesmallenoughsothatthevariancecausedbythesampleissmallcomparedtothevarianceofthetestbeingperformed.1.1Thispracticedescribestheessentialactivitiesthatarerequiredtoproducesamplesforinterlaboratorystudies.1.2Thesuitabilityofaparticularinterlaboratorysampledevelopedusingthisguidewilldependonthetestsbeingmade.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
