【摘要】:Thistestmethodistobeusedindeterminingtheabsorptionofcaststone.Absorptionisonemeasureofporosityofcaststoneand,hence,itsresistancetoweatheringandstructuralstress.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthesampling,preparationofspecimens,anddeterminationoftheabsorptionofarchitecturalcaststone.1.2Thistestmethoddescribestwoprocedures:(1)coldwaterand(2)boilingwater.Theuserofthetestmethodshouldstipulatewhichisdesired.Ifnostipulationismade,thecoldwaterprocedurewillbeused.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.
